Martin’s HPL back and sides deliver a vibrant, sustained tone and a warm bass that is far superior to traditional veneer. The GP-X2E’s back and sides are complemented by a solid Sapele deck, which adds a smoky richness and dynamics, making the guitar’s overall sound visceral and compelling. Inside the guitar’s soundboard, intricately crafted X-bracing supports the power and balance of the spruce. The GP-X2E’s neck, fingerboard and bridge are also made of solid wood, and the Performing Artist neck profile provides a finely balanced playability for both fingerstyle and chordal playing.
