Electric Guitar - Chromes Flat Wound
This is a string constructed from the same material as the popular EXL series, a nickel-plated spinning on a hexagonal core.
The big difference is that after the string is spun, it is polished 3 times to achieve an even and smooth surface.
This gives the dark and warm tone that jazz musicians especially seek.
Pat Metheny and John Scofield both use D'Addario Chromes strings on their Ibanez signature guitars.
