Stringsite.com's strings are all Electric Nickel Wound, which consists of a steel alloy coated with a layer of nickel. This layer brings several benefits. The strings get a nice round sound, while being more resistant to oxidation (rust) than 100% steel strings. Finally, the coating provides a slightly softer surface, which reduces the noise of fingers moving over the strings and reduces wear on the strings.
