Improved Tube Logic Tones
Tube Logic recreates tube circuits and all their complex interactions at the component level, putting the coveted tone and feel of classic tube amps at your fingertips. Our approach continues to evolve with improvements to the five amp characters available in previous Katana models, including the iconic high-gain Brown type. The new Pushed character highlights internal dynamic improvements with the pleasing touch-responsive gain of a clean combo driven to harmonic saturation. All six amplifier characters have a selectable variation, giving you 12 different tones to support any musical style.

As anyone who loves tube amps knows, the sound gets richer, fuller and more responsive as you turn up the volume. Unfortunately, it also gets way too loud for many gaming situations. An external power attenuator is a common solution, but it can introduce artifacts that color the tone and feel of the amplifier. The integrated Power Control in Katana Gen 3 delivers the best of all worlds, so you can take inspiration from the high volume without negatively affecting the sound. Just turn the panel knob to transparently control the level for everything from live gaming to daily living room jams.

Katana Gen 3 features five simultaneous effect categories filled with essential selections from the historic BOSS library. The Booster, Mod, FX, Delay and Reverb sections offer enhanced sound quality, grab-and-go parameter controls and three variations each to access 15 unique effects. BOSS Tone Studio opens up additional possibilities, allowing you to customize the built-in effects from 60 different types and fine-tune deep settings not accessible from the amp panel. And when the optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor is installed, you can wirelessly edit sounds during the concert using the BTS editor app on your smartphone.

BOSS Tone Studio for Katana Gen 3 offers new visual enhancements and graphical customization options that make creating your own tone faster and more intuitive. Explore tools to edit amps and effects, change effect order, and shape the overall sound with three-way Contour control and multiple EQs. Set system-wide settings and behaviors. And organize custom setups for all your gigs. You also have access to BOSS Tone Exchange, where you can download professional setups and share sounds with the worldwide Katana community.
Complete stage command
Katana-100 Gen 3 has a wealth of powerful tools for modern artists. Eight Tone Setting memories allow you to store and recall complete amp/effects setups, while rear panel jacks support remote control with footswitches and an expression pedal. GA-FC and GA-FC EX Foot Controllers expand your options even further and provide complete stage control solutions for your Katana Gen 3. Change tone settings, turn effects on/off, integrate multiple expression pedals and much more. The GA-FC EX model also includes an expansion option so you can double your footswitches or control two Katana amplifiers at once.

The Katana-100 Gen 3 floats along on all your creative journeys. Easily connect two amps via the Stereo Expand* feature with master control from the main amp and stereo effects like chorus, delay and reverb distributed across both amps for a wide, immersive sound. Or connect to the Power Amp In jack to bypass the Katana preamp and use the reactive Class AB power section to amplify a modeler or external preamp.
