This Fender Custom Shop 1957 Stratocaster produces classic, chime-like tones with a snappy bite, and delivers the ultimate clean sound you’ve heard on so many classic recordings. This wonderful tone is derived from a combination of hand wound Fat 50s pickups, and the quality of Fender’s Custom Shop wood, like the one piece quartersawn Maple neck. Fender has flattened the fingerboard radius to 9.5” and fretted this instrument with tall, skinny 6105 frets, allowing for easy playability, something that is normally not associated with a vintage instrument. The Custom Shop has also opted to wire the electronics with a modern 5-way selector switch and a dedicated tone control for the bridge pickup.
