An RG guitar from Ibanez’ Standard series. Well-built instruments for players who want the renowned Ibanez feel and look at a more affordable price – without compromising unnecessarily on quality.
What sets the RG421EXL apart from the other models in the Standard series – in addition to being a left-handed model – is its fixed bridge. This makes it ideal for guitarists who want to experiment with alternative tunings and avoid a vibrato system that can affect tuning stability – or who simply do not want a tremolo at all.
It also features a meranti body with multi-layer binding, elegantly accentuating the contours of the body.
The guitar is equipped with a Wizard III neck, a slightly fuller version of the popular Wizard profile. It has a somewhat rounder and softer shape than the Wizard and Super Wizard profiles, and a 400 mm radius compared to the Wizard neck’s 430 mm. The result is a very comfortable neck for players who prefer a bit more substance in hand – without it feeling thick or bulky.
