    The Custom model is part of the “Black Beauty” heritage that began in 1954 and was reintroduced in 1968.

    Construction: Solid mahogany back with carved maple top; set-neck (set-in neck)
    Binding: Multi-ply (7-ply top, 5-ply back); black multi-ply pickguard
    Neck: Mahogany; set-in; rounded “C” profile
    Scale: 24.75" / 628.6 mm
    Fingerboard: Genuine ebony; 12" radius; 22 medium-jumbo frets; mother-of-pearl block inlays; single-ply binding with nibs
    Saddle: 43 mm synthetic; adjustable truss rod with “Les Paul Custom” bell
    Headstock: Split-diamond inlay; multi-ply binding; repaired and stable crack
    Pickups: Gibson 490R (neck) / 498T (bridge) – gold-plated covers
