S671ALB-BCM (Black chameleon). Axion Label.
The S model is a unique Ibanez design that has been around since '87,
as long as the RG models. The model was first called Sabre, but quickly
changed its name to the short and concise "S".
Axion Label can best be described as a branch of the Iron Label tree,
guitars built primarily for metal and hard rock. Axion Label looks more
to the future in areas such as new types of pickups, looks, etc. while
Iron Label is more grounded in what is used and has worked for a long time.
Guitars designed for those who want to play heavy music and need
tools specifically designed for it. Of course, you can play
more than metal on the instruments, you can play anything on them.
The series has Sub-Zero treated fretboards, which in simple terms are
specially treated and hardened bars that have properties very similar to stainless steel frets.
Common to the series is also that they have luminescent side dots, luminescent fret markings,
on the top of the neck. Something you probably won't fully understand the benefit of until you've stood on
a stage in pitch darkness and can't see which band you're putting your hand on.
Truly a fantastic little invention.
The series features a further development of Ibanez' famous Wizard neck called Nitro Wizard.
The model features a 5-piece Panga Panga/Walnut construction, which is a road-tested construction
that has taken stability to a new level.
The S671ALB is equipped with Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers and a Fluence single in the
center position. Fishman Fluence is an active microphone with two distinct sounds built
into the microphone itself called voice 1 and voice 2.
Voice 1 - "Modern Active High Output - The ideal active ceramic humbucker tone.
Crisp, burning crunch, tight bass without mud and a growl".
Voice 2 - "Modern Passive Attack - Organic, high output, passive ceramic tone.
Great distortion characteristics with Fluence dynamics and response".
