Amp modeling – virtual guitar amps
The pedal features advanced amp modeling, which means it digitally simulates the sound and response of real guitar amps. You can therefore choose between different amp types and create everything from warm vintage-clean sounds to powerful rock and metal tones.
Along with the amp, the speaker cabinet, which is an important part of the guitar's sound, is also simulated. The GP-180 also supports loading up to 20 third-party IR (Impulse Response) files, which are realistic recordings of real speaker cabinets.
The pedal also supports NAM (Neural Amp Modeler) files, which allow you to use very accurate digital models of real amplifiers.
Build your own effects chain with up to 12 modules
In the GP-180, each effect is organized as a module. A module can be, for example, a compressor, overdrive, amp model, cabinet, EQ, chorus, delay or reverb.
The pedal can run up to 12 modules simultaneously, and you can freely determine the order in the effects chain. This allows you to build a complete virtual guitar rig.
A typical guitar setup might consist of:
Noise Gate → Compressor → Overdrive → Amp → Cabinet → EQ → Chorus → Delay → Reverb
This signal path is similar to a real pedalboard connected to a guitar amplifier and cabinet. The difference is that everything is inside the GP-180 and can be saved as a patch.
Practice and be creative with the drum machine and looper
The built-in drum machine contains over 100 rhythm patterns, so you can easily jam, practice timing or work on new ideas without additional equipment.
The looper function provides up to 180 seconds of recording time, so you can record a riff and then play solo on top of it or build multiple layers of guitar tracks.
Built-in audio interface and wireless editing
The GP-180 also functions as a 6-in, 4-out USB audio interface. This allows you to connect the pedal directly to your computer, tablet, or smartphone and record guitar into a DAW without any additional equipment.
It's compatible with Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android, and via Bluetooth, you can edit patches and record wirelessly from a mobile device.
Compact design for both home and stage
The GP-180 is designed as a robust floorboard with three footswitches, clear LED indicators and a 2.4" color LCD display that makes it easy to navigate between presets and settings.
The built-in tuner makes tuning the guitar quick, and via expression or footswitch connection you can expand control over the pedal.
