Sigma SDR-45 Nashville is a dreadnought acoustic guitar crafted by Sigma using a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. For many acoustic guitarists, the combination of spruce and rosewood represents the ideal tonewood pairing for a steel-string guitar. It delivers outstanding volume and clarity, along with a powerful, deep bass response that is richer than what mahogany typically provides.
The neck is joined to the body using a traditional dovetail joint, a classic construction method that ensures excellent energy transfer between the neck and body. Made from mahogany, the neck features a Modified V profile, designed for players who prefer a more traditional neck shape that comfortably accommodates the thumb resting over the top of the fingerboard. The fingerboard and bridge are crafted from ebony, while the nut and saddle are made from genuine bone. Bone components significantly enhance the guitar's tone by providing optimal string-to-body contact, allowing the instrument's full tonal character to resonate freely.
The tuning machines are manufactured by Grover, a company renowned for producing high-quality tuning hardware. Their gold-plated butterbean buttons not only provide smooth and reliable tuning but also add a touch of vintage elegance to the guitar's appearance.
