With the 000 Jr E Jeff Tweedy, Martin has given the Jr. model a rustic alt-country vibe, inspired in both style and sound by Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy. This compact, stage-ready instrument features a premium, all-solid wood construction consisting of an FSC-certified sapele top and back and sides in sapele – also made from FSC-certified wood. Sapele delivers the elegant tone you know from mahogany, but at the same time adds a warm and punchy sound that works perfectly for vocal accompaniment, both acoustic and amplified.
A slim Performing Artist neck in select hardwood and an ebony fingerboard allow you to play effortlessly in all styles. At the same time, the short 24.9″ scale length and finger-friendly 1.75″ nut width make the 000 Jr E Jeff Tweedy an extremely versatile and easy-to-play instrument.
As previously mentioned, the 000 Jr E Jeff Tweedy features a solid wood body made from responsibly sourced, FSC-certified sapele. The wood, which closely resembles the mahogany used in Jeff Tweedy's signature model, delivers a warm, powerful and nuanced tone that complements the guitar's compact construction. In addition, scalloped X-bracing ensures a dynamic sound with impressive fullness in the low frequencies.
With built-in Martin E1 electronics, you can easily connect the guitar to an acoustic amplifier, sound card or PA system. The E1 system's tone, volume and phase controls make it easy to shape the guitar's rich and warm sound as needed, while the phase control effectively reduces unwanted feedback in situations where you're standing close to your amplifier. In addition, the system is equipped with a built-in tuner, so you can tune the guitar quickly and discreetly - both on stage and at home.
