The SC-13E Modern features the patented Sure Align® system paired with a slightly slimmer, ergonomic low-profile neck that provides effortless access to the highest frets and naturally fits the player’s hand. The unique neck mounting system allows for precise adjustment of both neck angle and length using a simple hex wrench, enabling easy optimization of action and intonation when needed.
The body’s offset shape naturally reduces feedback when higher stage volumes are required, while remaining equally comfortable to play whether standing or seated.
The body features a solid Sitka spruce top with beautifully figured high-quality koa laminate back and sides. Both the bridge and fingerboard are crafted from African ebony.
Premium Martin guitars such as the SC-13E Modern are PLEK processed to ensure consistent, refined playability. PLEK Pro is an advanced, computer-controlled process that scans, levels, and dresses the frets so that every note rings out clearly and evenly across the entire fingerboard with exceptional clarity.
Equipped with Martin E1 electronics, the SC-13E Modern can easily be connected to an acoustic amplifier, audio interface, or a live PA system. The E1 system’s volume, tone, and phase controls allow you to amplify the guitar’s rich, warm sound while shaping it to suit your environment. The phase control is particularly effective at eliminating unwanted feedback in tight stage settings where proximity to an amplifier is unavoidable.
