Ernie Ball Everlast Coated acoustic guitar strings are produced using advanced nanotechnology that is resistant to moisture and oils, helping the strings maintain a cleaner tone for longer. Ernie Ball’s proprietary treatment is applied to both the inner hex-shaped core and the outer winding wire to provide maximum protection without compromising tone or feel. The alloy consists of 92% copper, 7.7% tin, and 0.3% phosphorus wire wrapped around a brass-plated hex-shaped steel core wire. This combination gives Phosphor Bronze strings a warm, full low end complemented by a clear, bright treble.
