Ernie Ball Everlast Coated acoustic guitar strings are manufactured using advanced nanotechnology that repels both moisture and oil. This helps preserve tone and playability longer than uncoated strings. Ernie Ball’s proprietary treatment is applied to both the inner hex-shaped core and the outer winding wire to provide ultimate protection without compromising tone or feel. Everlast Coated strings are made from 80% copper and 20% zinc wire, wrapped around a hex-shaped, brass-plated steel core wire. The result is a crisp, ringing tone with pleasing overtones.
