1974 was the year D’Addario first experimented with phosphor bronze in its acoustic string production. The success was immediate, and phosphor bronze strings have since become synonymous with a full tone and long lifespan. They are chosen by most musicians for both live and studio use. Optimised for DADGAD tuning, this 13–56 True Medium set features a slightly smaller diameter on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th strings compared to our traditional Medium set, resulting in a more balanced tone and tension.
