1974 was the year D’Addario was the first to experiment with phosphor bronze in the production of acoustic strings. The result was a success, and phosphor bronze strings have since become synonymous with a long-lasting, warm, and clear tone. Today they are among the most widely used strings by guitarists, both live and in the studio.
