These strings (also referred to as brass) trace their roots back to the famous 1930s guitarist D’Angelico’s request to D’Addario for strings with greater volume, at a time when guitar amplifiers were not yet in use.
D’Addario bronze strings are popular for their sharp, punchy tone and are highly recommended if you need a bit more “headroom” in your solo playing or lead parts.
