How to tune your ukulele

There are several ways to tune a ukulele. You can use a tuner or a piano and listen for the right notes.

The most common tuning for the ukulele is G-C-E-A.

You can also tune freehand if you want to. The song "The Little Winnie the Pooh" starts with exactly four notes: G, C, E and A. So if you can get the first four notes of the song to match the strings on your ukulele, it should be in tune.

Of course, if you're playing with others, you'll need to tune the ukulele to match the other instruments. But if you're playing at home on your own, you can just tune it with yourself.
