In the Pro Arte C (Composite) sets, the G string and the core of the bass strings are made from a new polymer material that not only provides 2–3 times longer lifespan, but also ensures a smooth transition from wound to unwound strings.
This new material also allows the G string to be made thinner for improved clarity, without sacrificing strength.
Additionally, these strings hold their tuning exceptionally well.
