NGB5-45 is a complete set of strings for electric bass, in thicknesses 45 to 125. NGB5-45 is made with a hexagonal core wire wrapped with a silver-coated steel wire. The strings are then coated with DR's K3 compound, making the strings extra resistant to dirt and sweat. The K3 coating, which is applied to all strings in the set, is ultra-hard and does not dampen vibrations in the way that softer coatings tend to.
