Ernie Ball Extra Long Scale strings are made from nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around a hex-shaped steel core. Each bass string delivers a clear, balanced tone and is crafted from the finest raw materials in the Coachella Valley of Southern California. Extra Long Scale is designed to fit basses with a 35" scale length. The string length is 50", with a taper at 38.5".
