This set is optimized for PRS electric basses. The A, E, and B strings are tapered, meaning the string diameter narrows at the ball end to ensure compatibility with certain bridge designs.
Which scale length should I choose?
Most electric basses are Long Scale, but there are of course exceptions. Measure along the bass side of the string when tuned to pitch, from the inner edge of the ball end to the nut.
• Short Scale: up to 32"
• Medium Scale: 32" to 34"
• Long Scale: 34" to 36"
• Super Long Scale: 36" to 38"
