With the 000-16 Streetmaster, Martin has taken premium quality woods, effortless playability via a modified Low-Oval neck profile and the comfortable 000 body and presents it all in a beautiful distressed finish. Its Adirondack spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides offer a formidable tonal punch that's packed with sparkling overtones and a deep bottom - a versatile combination of woods that can tackle any playing style. And while the 000-16 Streetmaster has a very distinct vintage feel, its modified Low-Oval neck profile, Plek-treated frets and wide 44.45 mm give it a very modern playability. To give the 000-16 Streetmaster a "played-in" sound, Martin has applied their VTS treatment to the Western guitar. Martin has perfected a unique process where they "torrify" the guitar's deck and bracing, giving the sound an "old" and played-in character. Martin's Vintage Tone System (VTS) makes it possible to "age" the wood to precisely target the sound to a specific age/time period.
With Martin 000-16 Streetmaster, you get a guitar with classic spruce/rosewood tone that offers modern playability and a matured sound character.
