A new era in sound design
In 2020, KORG took Wavestate Wave Sequencing to a whole new level. With the radically revamped Wave Sequencing 2.0, Wavestate delivered stunning, ever-changing sounds with extensive hands-on control. You might think it was a superficial nostalgia trip, but Wavestate couldn't be further from being a flat re-release of the iconic Wavestation. It was designed from the ground up with a new generation of musicians, producers and composers in mind, embracing the modern big cold synth table in the form of modular systems, groove boxes and algorithmic composition.
Wavestate also introduced another groundbreaking concept; Wavestate native software (sold separately, Wavestate users can purchase at a discount) gives you the full engine as a VST/AU plugin in your DAW, with full compatibility and no compromise. Perfect for moving seamlessly between software and hardware workflows. Wavestate also comes with a free software editor that makes editing easier when you connect Wavestate to your computer.
KORG is proud to present the new Wavestate MKII, with more polyphony (96 stereo voices) and a fresh look. It is fully compatible with sounds and samples from both the original Wavestate, Wavestate MKII SE and Wavestate MKII native software, including many excellent third-party libraries. Updated sounds and software keep it fresh (and these are also available for the original Wavestate MKII). The compact form factor with 37 full-size keys and super-easy hands-on control fits on any stage, studio or desktop.
