Tune-Bot Gig
The Gig model retains all the core functionality of the original drum tuner, including the same sensor system, tuning algorithms, and frequency detection technology. What you do not get are memory presets and the three selectable tuning modes found on the higher-end models.
In return, the Gig model is refreshingly straightforward and easy to use. It features a simple power button and a mode selector for switching between the two available modes: Absolute and Difference.
Absolute Mode is used for reading frequency and/or note pitch, while Difference Mode is designed for tuning the individual tension rods evenly across the drumhead.
Tuning Calculator
The company behind these tuners has also developed a dedicated Tuning Calculator. This tool allows you to generate a customized set of tuning frequencies for your drums when using a tuner of this type.
Simply enter your drum sizes, specify the desired amount of resonance, and choose whether the batter head or resonant head should be tuned lower.
