The Tung-Sol 6AU7 is a vintage medium-mu twin triode vacuum tube, primarily designed for use in 600-milliampere series string television applications. It is electrically identical to the popular 12AU7 tube in every way except for its heater ratings and warm-up time.

    According to official Tung-Sol Electric Inc. data sheets, the 6AU7 features the following key parameters:

    • Structure: 9-pin miniature base (9A), twin triode construction.
    • Heater Voltage: Designed for 6.3 volts at 0.3 amps (parallel) or 3.15 volts at 0.6 amps (series).
    • Maximum Plate Voltage: 300 volts.
