Evans UV1 heads are designed to deliver a wide sound palette and at the same time be the most durable single-ply heads on the market. The new UV coating has incomparably good durability and the fine-grained surface, together with the unique 10 mil thick film, delivers a dynamic sound with brilliant top register and full bottom.
When played lightly off-center, the UV1 has nice overtones with a clear identity that when played harder, round off and give an attack that is more reminiscent of two-ply heads. UV1 thrives in a variety of tunings, tuned low the attack is softer and delivers good bottom with good sustain. Tuned high the sound becomes more cohesive and the attack becomes firm with a full core.
UV1 has Level 360 profile for the best fit, tonal range and tunability.
