Spruce is a well-known material among guitar builders and appreciated for its warm sound. It is not so common among drum manufacturers, but Starphonic Spruce has a documented warm and rich sound. Spruce can be compared to aluminum among metal snare drums, a drier and warmer sound without losing clarity in the upper register. These properties make it a king among ghoststroke-thirsty drummers, who also appreciate Starphonic Spruce's properties in difficult acoustic conditions, where it excels with its wide tonal sweetspot. Enjoy fat sound in low tunings and all the way up to dry funky in high tunings.
