Guitar bodies undergo a rigorous sorting process before production to ensure they meet our specifications for weight and resonance. Wood that is too heavy, unsightly, or awkward is discarded. Necks are crafted from either a single piece of maple or maple with a rosewood fretboard, depending on the model. The fretboard features a 10-inch radius, and the frets are Dunlop 6105 (or equivalent size). Nut width is 1 5/8 inches for guitars. For basses, the width is 1 11/16 inches for P-models and 1 1/2 inches for J-models. The neck profile is "Medium C," with an average thickness of 0.83 inches at the 1st fret and 0.95 inches at the 12th fret. Vintage-style, single-action truss rods are used, with adjustment at the heel. The nut is made of Tusq. The finish consists entirely of nitrocellulose lacquer; no plastic, polyurethane, or similar materials are used. This applies to pore fillers, primers, and other preparatory layers as well. Components such as CTS potentiometers, CRL switches, Switchcraft jacks, and Sprague Orange Drop capacitors are standard.
