The Fender Custom Shop 1960 Relic Stratocaster with matching headstock from 2011 is a limited edition reissue designed to blend vintage 1960s aesthetics with modern playability.

  • Description
    • Finish & Body: Features a "Relic" lacquer finish on an alder body to simulate years of hard use, including nicks, scratches, and oxidized hardware.
    • Matching Headstock: "MAT PEG" refers to the Matching Peg Headstock, where the headstock is painted the same color as the body (e.g. Fiesta Red, Surf Green, or Lake Placid Blue).
    • Neck Profile: Features a large "C" shaped maple neck that is thicker than the original slim profile from 1960 to satisfy the preferences of modern players.
    • Fingerboard: A "Slab" rosewood fingerboard (thick flat laminate) with a 9.5" radius and 6105 narrow frets for easier string bending.
    • Electronics: Powered by three 1960 Stratocaster single-coil pickups and a 5-way switch, offering a powerful midrange sound.
    • Cosmetics: Includes a 3-ply mint green pickguard, vintage-style hardware.
