The Vox AD30VT was first introduced to the U.S. market in January 2004 as a compact yet powerful member of the AD Valvetronix “Chrome” series of amplifiers.

It features a 10" speaker housed in a closed-back cabinet made from pressed board, powered by a 30-watt Valvetronix amplifier circuit.

The control panel is equipped with controls for eleven amp models, eleven pedal effects, and a two-channel digital programming section.

    Made in Japan (MIJ), typically between 1962 and 1967.

     

     

    • Body: Solid wood with a double-cutaway, offset design.
    • Neck: Bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, often featuring block inlays and binding.
    • Pickups: Dual chrome-covered single-coil pickups, often described as having a "gold foil" sound with clear tonal response.
    • Controls: Each pickup has its own dedicated rocker switch for on/off selection, plus individual volume and tone knobs.
    • Hardware: Features a vibrato (tremolo) system and original 6-in-line tuners. 


    Tonal Character & Playability:
    The MJ-2L is celebrated for its "quirky" vintage sound, suitable for genres like surf rock, indie, and experimental music. While entry-level at the time of its release, it is now a sought-after collector's item due to its unique aesthetics and "mojo".
