The SR is probably the bass model most people think of when someone says "Ibanez bass" and for around 35 years it has been the market leading model among "small body" basses (basses with smaller, slimmer bodies). The SR300EDX is the SR in the Ibanez standard series.
The standard series are Ibanez "regular" models, instruments that are a little cheaper without compromising too much on quality compared to the top-of-the-line models. The SR Standard basses have PDC (PowerSpan Dual Coil) microphones and a new EQ system.
It consists of a boost/cut for bass, treble and midrange as well as a 3-way Tap switch for switching between Humbucker-Single-Enhanced Single.
