The guitar features a blue finish that allows the grain of the ash body to show through.
It is equipped with a Wizard III neck; this is a slightly thicker version of the popular Wizard profile, offering a rounder, smoother feel than the standard Wizard or Super Wizard necks. It also features a 400mm radius, compared to the 430mm found on the standard Wizard neck.
It is a very comfortable neck for guitarists who prefer a bit more substance in the hand, without the neck feeling thick, stiff, or clunky. It is fast and highly playable, featuring 24 beautifully finished jumbo frets.
The body is crafted from ash, a solid tonewood with an even frequency response across the entire register. Tonally, this makes the wood versatile and easy to shape, allowing it to deliver a wide range of sounds. The even frequency response also makes it excellent for distorted tones, as it holds the sound together beautifully without becoming "fizzy" or muddy.
The bridge system is the superb Ibanez Edge-Zero II—a stable unit that maintains tuning incredibly well.
