The Donner NHL-500 Headless Electric Guitar in natural finish is a modern headless electric guitar designed with a focus on playing comfort, stability, and portability. Its compact form factor and low weight make it ideal as a travel guitar, as well as for studio, rehearsal, and stage use. The Natural version stands out from other variants with its okoume body and roasted maple neck, offering a responsive and well-balanced playing experience.
Playability and Ergonomics
The guitar features a classic 25.5” scale length (648 mm), ensuring familiar string tension, solid sustain, and a natural feel. The progressive asymmetrical roasted maple neck is shaped to follow the hand’s movement, with a slimmer profile in higher positions and more support in lower ones. Roasted maple provides increased stability and reduced sensitivity to temperature and humidity changes, resulting in a more consistent feel over time. The satin neck finish reduces friction, while the 12” radius rosewood fingerboard offers excellent control for both chords and lead playing.
24 Frets – Extended Range
While many electric guitars stop at 22 frets, the Donner NHL-500 is equipped with 24 nickel-silver frets. This provides access to a full four-octave range and greater freedom for solos, modern techniques, and melodic expression—both in practice and on stage.
Stable Tuning and Minimal Maintenance
The headless design, combined with the Donner Hush Bridge system, ensures excellent tuning stability and reduces the need for frequent retuning. The locking system minimizes string friction, making the guitar especially suitable for transport, travel use, and extended playing sessions.

The SSH pickup configuration delivers a broad and versatile tonal palette, covering everything from clear clean tones to more pronounced lead and rhythm sounds. Controls are simple and intuitive, with one volume, one tone, and a three-way pickup selector—making it easy to dial in the right sound for both studio and live situations.
Lightweight Construction and Balanced Design
The okoume body contributes to a low overall weight of approximately 2.4 kg, along with an open and resonant fundamental tone. The ergonomic body shape ensures even weight distribution without neck dive, making the guitar comfortable to play—even during long sessions.

The Donner NHL-500 comes with a custom-designed gig bag featuring shock-absorbing AIR Cushion padding, reflective details, and flexible carrying options. The bag includes spacious pockets for cables, strap, picks, and other essential accessories, so the guitar is ready to use right out of the box.
