The Hummingbird™ is one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable acoustic guitars ever built. It was first introduced by Gibson in 1960 as their first square-shoulder dreadnought model. The stylish and versatile Hummingbird was quickly and enthusiastically embraced by musicians across a wide range of genres.

Now, Epiphone proudly introduces an updated Hummingbird Standard as part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, delivering high-quality versions of classic Gibson models at accessible prices.

The Hummingbird Standard is constructed entirely from solid tonewoods, meaning its tone will continue to develop and improve over time. The back and sides of the body are made from solid mahogany, while the top is crafted from solid spruce—the classic tonewood combination that has made the Hummingbird sound iconic. The neck is also made from a single piece of solid mahogany and is fitted with a genuine rosewood fingerboard with 20 standard frets, along with elegant mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays—one of the visual hallmarks of the classic Hummingbird design. The neck features a comfortable Rounded C profile and is glued to the body using a tapered dovetail joint.

The ’60s-inspired Kalamazoo headstock is adorned with the Epiphone logo and Gibson crown in mother-of-pearl inlay, and is equipped with a bone nut and high-quality Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines with a gold finish and keystone buttons, ensuring stable and precise tuning.

Other classic Hummingbird features include a tortoiseshell-style epoxy pickguard with the iconic Hummingbird graphic, a reverse belly rosewood bridge with a bone saddle and ivory-colored plastic bridge pins, and a beautiful Cherry Sunburst finish.

The Hummingbird Standard is equipped with Fishman™ electronics, including an S-Core under-saddle pickup and a Fishman Presys VT preamp with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls. These are easily accessible for the player while remaining discreet and nearly invisible to the audience.

The guitar comes with an Epiphone premium gig bag that helps protect the instrument and makes it easy to transport—wherever your music takes you.
