The ECC803S is fully compatible with the ECC83.

As a BALANCED / SYMMETRY tested version, this tube is ideal as a driver tube,
as the large anode surfaces are particularly advantageous at peak loads in this area.
After initial difficulties, JJ now produces kun this "long plate" version as a "gray plate" version.
The gray anodes are carbon coated, enabling long-term, uniform emissions.
For this reason, the uncoated "silver" anode is no longer used.
